NYC educators and national experts are developing Common Core-aligned resources.  This website holds all resources, with links to engageNY.  This link takes you directly to the tasks which are embedded in a unit of study to support schools in implementing the Citywide Instructional Expectations. Educators may choose to adopt these resources in their entirety or adapt the materials to best address students’ diverse needs.  Search a growing assortment of Common Core-aligned tasks, units and student work by keyword, grade level, subject area and Common Core Learning Standard.  (K-12)

A Number Talk is a short, ongoing daily routine that provides students with meaningful ongoing practice with computation. A Number Talk is a powerful tool for helping students develop computational fluency because the expectation is that they will use number relationships and the structures of numbers to add, subtract, multiply and divide. https://grade2commoncoremath.wikispaces.hcpss.org

Howard County Public School System has created this website. It has different kinds of assessments, timed or written response questions that have students write the math strategy used. It has scoring rubrics to use with the various assessments or activities. It has performance tasks, but they seem more like games to increase fluency, unless you added a writing component where students explain their thinking. It has various activities to teach strategies and interactive websites for independent practice. It even has a section for Rekenreks. It would be great for other math standards as well.  This is a direct link to grade 2.  To access other grades, just change the grade number in the website.  (K-5)

EngageNY was created by the state of NY to support CCSS instruction.  We reccomend using the math resources as tools for planning and instruction.  Curriculum modules in mathematics are marked by in-depth focus on fewer topics. They integrate the CCLS, rigorous classroom reasoning, extended classroom time devoted to practice and reflection through extensive problem sets, and high expectations for mastery.  (K-12)

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) videos are designed to support states, schools, and teachers in the implementation of the CCSS. The videos were created in collaboration with the states in the Southeast Comprehensive Center region based on their needs for professional development support for the implementation of the Common Core State Standards. Each video is an audiovisual resource that focuses on one or more specific standards and usually includes examples/illustrations geared to enhancing understanding. The intent of each content-focused video is to clarify the meaning of the individual standard rather than to be a guide on how to teach each standard, although the examples can be adapted for instructional use.  (K-12)
