Spring Valley High School
On February 17, 2016, SVHS Best Buddy advisor/Post program teacher, Joseph Gaglione, and his assistant, Christine Esposito, celebrated the year of the Monkey Chinese New Year 2016 with food, fun, and friends. One of the missions of Best Buddies is to create opportunities for one-to-one friendships for people with intellectual disabilities. It has been proven that Best Buddy friendships alleviate the feelings of isolation and help boost self-esteem, while developing mutually-enriching friendships between people with and without disabilities.

Frank Kim Elementary School

Two Clark County School District schools have been named National Title I Distinguished Schools by the Nevada Department of Education.Lawrence and Heidi Canarelli Middle School and Patricia A. Bendorf Elementary School will be recognized for demonstrating outstanding student achievement in 2015.
