In the past, literacy labs were utilized to provide teachers with materials to support guided reading.  With the implementation of NVACS (Common Core), PZ 12 schools are discovering ways to organize these rooms in order to provide specific resources to teach each standard.

 

Schools are simply restructuring the rooms for optimal space, organizing the resources found in buildings (classrooms, storage rooms, libraries, etc.), and purchasing additional materials to fill in gaps.
