June 2015 Spotlights

M.J. Christensen

Mrs. Fisher joined our school in January as a brand new intermediate resource teacher. Since then, her students have made notable gains both academically and behaviorally. She has also led the way in the move toward an inclusive model for special education students at our school.  Mrs. Fisher works with all staff to ensure that special education students’ needs are met.  She has developed strong relationships with the parents of her students by working in partnership with them to help students reach their goals.  Although she has been at our school only a short time, she demonstrates initiative in all that she does and is always willing to go above and beyond.  We are so lucky to have her at our school!

Marion Earl Elementary School

Marion Earl Elementary School would like to honor Amanda Williams as our Educator Spotlight!  This is Ms. Williams’ third year in the Clark County School District.  She currently serves as a fourth grade teacher.  Ms. Williams is well received by students and colleagues.  She is always going out of her way to help when needed.  Ms. Williams provides students with engaging and fun activities that provide an adequate amount of challenge.  She is consistently reflecting on her professional practice and works hard to implement high-level, instructional practices.  Ms. Williams is dedicated to helping her colleagues and has been accepted to the Employee Onboarding and Development mentor program for the 2015-2016 school year and has been accepted to the Teacher Leadership Initiative.  She also frequently mentors colleagues and recently provided the staff with training on a new math curriculum.  Ms. Williams keeps students and parents informed with her classroom website ourclassroomlv.weebly.com.  We are proud to have Ms. Williams as a Marion Earl Eagle!
